For students that have a more serious outlook on dancing

The NSDA Performing Arts Company is offered to children ages 7-18. Our Company consists of 4 teams!!

This program and each team has the student’s best interest at heart! It will teach them how to work as a team, sportsmanship, responsibility, and discipline, all while being in a positive learning environment, having fun, and doing something they love!

The NSDA’s Performing Arts Company attends conventions and regional competitions during the dance season, 1 national competition (depending on the team your dancer joins); as well as, performing in our end of the year Showcase.

NSDA Company Auditions

Audition Dates: Saturday, May 17-Sunday, May 18, 2025

Where: N-Step Dance Academy

We will supply a review of our season in detail at our Company kick-off meetings in August.

If you are planning on being on the NSDA Performing Arts Company, there are important required events for the upcoming season to note below:

Mandatory Events For Company Members In The Upcoming Season:

Kick-Off Meetings (Parent & Dancer Meeting)

  • Upon acceptance on the team, this meeting is mandatory for the Company dancer and 1 parent.

  • This meeting will be held on an evening or weekend at the beginning of August.

  • Please keep your calendars open around this time.

  • This date will be given in June/July.

Measurement Meeting

  • This is a mandatory meeting for all Company dancers and will be held on an evening or weekend day at the beginning of August.

  • This date/time will go out in July.

Required Rehearsal Dates

  • There will be specific dates at the beginning or end of the Forsyth County school holidays that the dancers will be required to be in rehearsals.

  • The dates will be given at the Kick-Off meeting. Therefore, hold off on planning family trips or reach out to Alexis at alexis@nstepdance.net before booking your travel.

What you need for Company auditions:

  • Fill out your audition form here

    • Audition form due date: Wednesday, May 14, 2025

  • Pay audition fee

    • This fee will be placed on accounts and collected every Monday until the deadline date.

    • If you are new to us, please create a Parent Portal account by clicking here

  • Be sure to sign in at the front office on the day of the auditions.

  • Do not be late. Dancers will not be allowed into auditions after they start.
