How do I become a Performing Arts Member?

All dancers must attend the NSDA Company auditions. The audition process is based upon a ballet and jazz audition. The age requirement for NSDA’s Company dancers is 7-18, with one year of dance experience. For more information on auditions, please contact us at contact@nstepdance.net.

How many classes are required for a Performing Arts Member?

Each NSDA Company team is required to take a different amount of classes. However, every NSDA Company dancer must take Ballet, Tap, and Jazz at a minimum. For more information about classes for Company members, please contact us @ contact@nstepdance.net

Where and how many competitions does NSDA attend?

Each NSDA Company team attends a different amount of regional competitions and all competitions are within driving distance. Once the competitions are chosen, the dates will be announced. Competitions take place on the weekends and occasionally on Friday night. The official times of the competing routines are normally not published until the week before the event. This information will be distributed promptly after studio notification.
