Cecily Davis is an Atlanta-based dance artist and choreographer. Raised in Columbia, South Carolina, she began dancing at age nine, completing her training at Southeastern School of Ballet. Cecily studied at several summer intensives, including Ballet Magnificat, Ellison Ballet under Edward Ellison, Jolanta Valeikaite, and Erin Forrest; Oklahoma City Ballet, and Bolshoi Ballet NYC under Svetlana Ivanova and Elena Bobrova. Additionally, in 2015 she received a full scholarship to study ballet and Russian language for six weeks at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography (Bolshoi Ballet Academy).

In 2016, she joined The Georgia Ballet, and is entering her third season as a company member. Some of her favorite productions include Alberto Alonso’s Carmen, Les Sylphides, Swan Lake, and Daet Rodriguez’s “O Fortuna.” While with the Georgia Ballet, Cecily also performed with Dance Canvas in their 10th Anniversary Performance Series, and then premiered an original piece at their summer intensive showcase. Her most recent choreographic work, entitled “To Be Known,” was created for Georgia Ballet’s annual dancer-run showcase, “Dancers Up Close.” In August of 2019, singer/songwriter Nathan Colberg released the official music video for his song “The Giver.” Directed and shot by Atlanta videographer James Martin, the video marks Cecily’s first film credit as a choreographer and featured performer.
